Oilers Force Game 7 in Stanley Cup Final with 5-3 Victory Over Panthers

Edmonton's Power Play Prevails, Brown's Short-Handed Goal Ignites Victory

McDavid Continues to Shine in High-Stakes Game 5

The Edmonton Oilers have once again found a way to extend their Stanley Cup Final hopes, defeating the Florida Panthers 5-3 in Game 6 at Rogers Place on Thursday night. The victory ties the series at three games apiece, forcing a decisive Game 7 that will be played on Saturday night in Sunrise, Florida.

Connor Brown got the Oilers on the board with a short-handed goal in the first period, while Zach Hyman and Corey Perry each added power-play goals in the second period. Connor McDavid and Jesse Puljujarvi also scored for Edmonton, while Aleksander Barkov, Claude Giroux, and Carter Verhaeghe replied for the Panthers.

The Oilers' power play was a key factor in the victory, as they converted two of their four opportunities. Brown's short-handed goal was also a huge momentum boost for Edmonton, which had lost the previous two games of the series.

McDavid continues to be a force for the Oilers in the Final, as he now has 10 points (4 goals, 6 assists) in the series. The Oilers' captain was a constant threat on the ice, and he set up both of Edmonton's power-play goals.

The Panthers will now have to regroup for Game 7, but they will be confident that they can close out the series at home. The Oilers, meanwhile, will be looking to ride the momentum of their Game 6 victory and capture their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
